CARBON AND OXIDE BASED NANOSTRUCTURED MATERIALS (SS5)

This Special Session will cover all aspects of carbon- and oxide-based nanostructured materials. Possible topics include synthesis and characterization of oxide-based and carbon-based namely, carbon nanotubes (CNTs), carbon nanofibres, carbon filled composite etc may be presented. Metal oxide, namely ZnO, TiO2, Fe2O3, ferrites, garnets, etc for various applications like sensors, solar cells, transformer, antenna, catalysis, lubricant, can also be presented. Modeling of the oxide and carbon based materials is highly welcome.

Topics of the Session:
  • Synthesis, characterization and application of carbon nanotubes (CNTs)
  • Theory, calculations and modeling of nanostructured materials
  • Nanostructured magnetic materials and their applications
  • Nanostructured materials for electrochemical energy
  • Oxide- and carbon- based thin films
